OCTANE - Định nghĩa trong Từ điển tiếng Anh
Cách sử dụng
Octane refers to a chemical compound that is commonly used as a fuel for cars and other vehicles. When you fill up your car with gasoline, you may notice that there are different grades of fuel available, such as regular, mid-grade, and premium. The number associated with each grade (usually 87, 89, or 91) represents the octane rating, which indicates how resistant the fuel is to engine knocking, a harmful and inefficient phenomenon that occurs when the air/fuel mixture in the engine's cylinders ignites prematurely. In general, high-performance engines require fuels with higher octane ratings to prevent knocking and improve performance, while lower-performance engines may not require such high-grade fuel. Therefore, it is important for drivers to determine the appropriate octane rating for their vehicles in order to maximize their efficiency and avoid damage.
