The word 'floor' refers to the surface that you walk on indoors. It is the bottom part of a building or room. For example, when you enter a house or an office building, the first thing you step onto is the floor. You can use the word 'floor' to ask someone which level they are on and to describe the type of surface (e.g. hardwood, tile, carpet) on which you are standing. In situations where a group of people are standing in a room, you can also use the word 'floor' to refer to the open space between them and the ceiling.
