The word 'aristocracy' refers to a group of people who have a lot of wealth, power, and high social status. This group is often made up of noble families or those who have inherited their wealth and status. In the past, the aristocracy used to have a lot of political power in many countries. Nowadays, the word is mostly used to describe a privileged group who have a lot of influence or control in a particular field or industry. For example, you might hear someone talk about the "media aristocracy" or the "art aristocracy." It is not generally considered a positive term, as it implies that the people in the aristocracy are out of touch with the experiences of ordinary people.
