Transferability means the ability to take something you learned in one situation and use it in another situation. For example, if you learn how to cook a certain dish, you might be able to use those same skills to cook other dishes. In an educational setting, transferability refers to being able to apply skills and knowledge learned in one subject to other subjects or real-life situations. As an English learner, you may encounter the term in discussions of how to apply your English skills to other parts of your life or education, such as using your reading skills to understand instructions in another language, or taking what you learned in an English grammar lesson and applying it to your writing in another language.
