Bolshevism is a word used mostly in the history of Russia. It refers to a political movement that believed in a socialist system, where the government controls everything to create a fair society. The term was first used during the Russian Revolution of 1917, when the Bolsheviks, a group of radical socialist workers, seized control of the government. Today, the term is still used to describe extreme left-wing political ideologies that advocate for revolution and the establishment of a socialist or communist state.
