SISYPHEAN - Định nghĩa trong Từ điển tiếng Anh
Cách sử dụng
Sisyphean is an adjective that describes a task or situation that feels never-ending and is filled with struggles and difficulties. It comes from Greek mythology, where Sisyphus was a king punished by the gods to repeatedly push a boulder up a hill, only for it to roll back down each time he reached the top. In modern times, we use sisyphean to describe tasks that seem pointless or fruitless because they are so difficult or repetitive. For example, you might describe a job that requires you to constantly do the same thing over and over without making progress as sisyphean. Or, you might say that studying for a test that feels impossible to pass is a sisyphean task. Essentially, the term is used to describe situations where you feel stuck and helpless, like you're endlessly pushing a boulder up a hill with no hope of achieving your goal.
