Cách sử dụng
The expression "hold somebody to ransom" means to demand something from someone in exchange for releasing them from a captive or difficult situation. For example, if someone kidnaps a person and demands a large sum of money from their family in exchange for their release, they are holding that person to ransom. This expression can also be used in a more figurative sense, such as when someone is being forced to do something they don't want to do or agree to in exchange for a desired outcome.
