When we say something is a "run-on" in English, it means that a sentence is too long and doesn't have proper breaks or punctuation. This can make it hard to understand what the person is trying to say. For example, "I went to the store I bought some milk and bread then I came home" is a run-on sentence because it doesn't have any periods or commas to separate the different parts of the sentence. To fix it, we could say "I went to the store. I bought some milk and bread. Then I came home."
