The expression "something comes to/reaches somebody’s ears" means that someone hears some news or information from someone else. It's often used to describe when information is passed on to someone by someone else, either intentionally or unintentionally. For example, "I heard that the new restaurant was really good. It came to my ears from a friend who tried it last week." The expression can also be used to describe the spread of gossip or rumors.
