When we say "speak for itself/themselves", it means that the thing we are talking about can be understood just by looking at it or experiencing it. We don't need to explain it or give any extra information, because it's clear on its own. For example, if we say "the quality of the product speaks for itself", we mean that the product is well-made and doesn't need any further explanation or promotion. Similarly, if we say "the results of the experiment speak for themselves", we mean that the data shows the outcome clearly and doesn't need any further explanation. So, we use this expression when we want to emphasize that something is self-explanatory and doesn't require any additional explanation.
