Cách sử dụng
The expression "spike somebody’s guns" means to spoil or ruin someone's plans or ideas. It is usually used when someone is planning something and another person does something to stop or prevent their plans from succeeding. For example, if someone is planning to show off their new invention at a tech conference, but another person releases a similar invention just before the conference, they have spiked their guns. It is a way of saying that someone has stopped someone else from achieving their goal or ambition.
