"Sweep along" is an expression that means to be carried away by something, like a strong wind, strong current of water, or a big crowd of people. You can use this expression to describe a situation where you are moving quickly and smoothly in the same direction as a force around you. For example, if you were walking along the sidewalk and a big group of people suddenly came up behind you, you might get "swept along" with them and end up walking much faster or turning in a different direction than you originally intended.
