Cách sử dụng
The expression "throw the book at somebody" means punishing someone very severely for doing something wrong. You can use this expression when someone has broken a rule or a law, and the punishment they receive is very harsh. For example, if someone is caught speeding and they have to pay a very large fine, you can say "they really threw the book at him/her." This expression is often used to show that the punishment is more severe than the person deserved.
