Cách sử dụng
"Wear down" means to make something or someone become weaker or less effective over time through continuous use, friction or pressure. For instance, if you continuously walk on a carpet, you will notice that the carpet will start to wear down, become thin and less fluffy. In the same way, when we work on a task or problem for a long time, we may become mentally exhausted and our focus may wear down. We can also use "wear down" to talk about physical objects that lose their strength, such as a rusted metal pipe or an old tire. It can also be used to describe a person who becomes fatigued or discouraged after facing a difficult situation for a long time.
