"Be heading for" is often used when talking about where someone or something is going or what their destination or future situation is likely to be. For example, if someone is driving down the road and their friend asks where they're headed, they might say "I'm heading for the mall." Or if you're talking about the weather and it looks like it might rain, you could say "Looks like we're heading for a storm." It's a way of saying that something is likely to happen, or that someone is moving or going towards a particular place or situation.
