Cách sử dụng
The expression "go against" means to do something that is opposite or contrary to what is expected or desired. For example, if a teacher tells you to study harder for an exam, but you choose to watch TV instead, you are going against the teacher's advice. This expression can also be used in a broader sense to describe actions that are in opposition to laws, regulations, or social norms. For instance, stealing is going against the law. In general, whenever there is an established expectation or standard, going against it means doing something outside of that norm.
