Cách sử dụng
The expression "go up in smoke" means something that has failed or been cancelled completely. It can also mean something that was expected to happen or be successful, but didn't. For example, if someone plans a big party but it gets cancelled last minute, you could say "the party went up in smoke". Or if a project fails after a lot of work has been done, you could say "all that effort went up in smoke". It's a way to express disappointment or frustration when something does not work out as planned.
