INDIRECT - Định nghĩa trong Từ điển tiếng Anh
Cách sử dụng
The word 'indirect' is used to describe something that is not directly stated or done. For example, if someone asks you to do something indirectly, they might hint at what they want you to do instead of directly asking you to do it. Or if you get praised for doing something indirectly, it means that the praise was not given directly to you, but rather to someone else who then relayed it to you. In everyday conversation, you might encounter the word 'indirect' when discussing communication or actions that are not straightforward or clear. For instance, if your boss gives you feedback in an indirect way, you might have to read between the lines to understand what they are really saying. In a more abstract sense, 'indirect' can also refer to things that are not directly related to each other but still have an effect. For example, a lack of exercise might have an indirect impact on your mental health, even though the two things are not directly connected.
