LITERALLY - Định nghĩa trong Từ điển tiếng Anh
Cách sử dụng
The word 'literally' is used to indicate that something is actually true or happened exactly as described. For example, if someone says "I'm literally freezing," they mean that they are very cold and it's not just an exaggeration. It's important to note that 'literally' should only be used in situations where something is actually true and not just for emphasis. Using 'literally' incorrectly can lead to confusion or sound like an exaggeration. Here's an example: If you say "I literally slept like a baby," it means that you slept very well and soundly, just like a baby does. However, if you say "I literally died of laughter," it's not true – you didn't actually die, but it's a way of expressing that you found something very funny. In this case, it's better to use a different word like 'figuratively' to avoid confusion.
