The word "inherent" means that something is a natural part of something else. It is used to describe something that exists within or is a characteristic of a person, thing or situation without it being taught or necessarily consciously acknowledged. For example, we can say that creativity is inherent in musicians or that risk-taking is inherent in entrepreneurship. The word can also be used to describe negative characteristics or traits, such as the inherent dangers of a particular job or activity. It is a useful word to use when you want to talk about the fundamental aspects of something or someone, and emphasize that these qualities are an intrinsic part of them.
