Plasma is a gas-like substance made up of positively and negatively charged particles, but it has unique properties, such as being able to conduct electricity. It is commonly found in things like lightning, neon signs, and stars. In medicine, plasma refers to the liquid part of blood that contains important proteins and cells needed for clotting and fighting infections.
